A. Who Is the Data Controller?

In principle, your personal data is controlled by Synaptics Incorporated, located at 1109 McKay Drive, San Jose, CA 95131. In special cases, such as when you provide related personal data as a candidate or a contact of our partner located in China, Synaptics Shanghai Co., Ltd, is the data controller.

B. What Are the Legal Bases for Processing?

To the extent required by applicable law, we collect and process personal data of individuals located in China only where there exists a legal basis for doing so. Such legal bases are as follows:
- Where consent is obtained from you, per Art. 13.1.(1) of the PIPL.
- Where it is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract to which you are a contracting party, or where it is necessary for carrying out human resources management under an employment policy legally established or a collective contract legally concluded, per Art. 13.1.(2) of the PIPL.
- Where it is necessary for performing a statutory responsibility or statutory obligation, per Art. 13.1.(3) of the PIPL.
- Where it is necessary for responding to a public health emergency, or for protecting the life, health or property safety of the natural person in the case of an emergency, per Art. 13.1.(4) of the PIPL.
- Where the personal data is processed within a reasonable scope to carry out any news reporting, supervision by public opinions or any other activity for public interest purposes, per Art. 13.1.(5) of the PIPL.
- Where the personal data, which has already been disclosed by the individual or otherwise legally disclosed, is processed within a reasonable scope and in accordance with the PIPL, per Art. 13.1.(6) of the PIPL.
- Any other circumstance as provided by applicable law or administrative regulations, per Art. 13.1.(7) of the PIPL.

- 根据《个保法》第13条第一款第（七）项，适用的法律、行政法规规定的其他情形。
C. Personal Data Across-border Transfer
个人数据跨境转移？
Synaptics Incorporated is located in the United States and is governed by United States law. Your personal data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States in connection with the use of and services provided on our Sites.
